lizards, the Kiskadee is now synonymous with Bermuda: it's curious call
was everywhere!

these wonders being discovered by young boys looking for a lost cricket
ball!

Once known as "Gibralter of the West",
Bermuda has a very long history of heavy fortification. The leavings
of 400 years worth of guns and batteries are everywhere, including this
World War II vintage artillery symbolically guarding shipping lanes
and the shore.

at the Royal Naval Dockyards is now the heart of the Bermuda Maritime
Museum. To the right of this shot, huge cruise ships now dock near the
glassworks!

With a long family history of sea-farers, seeing
the island from the water was a must for Fr. Bill: so to public transit
for the answer. The ferry ride from St. George's to the Dockyards was
spectacular!
