The Cantors in Bermuda: Thanks to The Rev. David Raths!

After reading of the Cantors in PWRDF's "Under the Sun", fellow Canadian priest David Raths wondered if the Cantors would be willing to travel to Bermuda to sing at St. Peter's. The Cantors would like to acknowledge David's initiative, inspiration and leadership which made the Bermuda excursion possible, and to thank all the people of St. Peter's for their support of a very enjoyable stay, concert and service for the Cantors, too! We thank Fr. David for allowing us to be a part of the celebration. We pray God's blessing to St. Peter's as they prepare to celebrate 400 years of faith and mission in St. George's.

Fr. David, who long served as a chaplain in Canada's military, has a wonderful knowledge of history that he generously shared with the Cantors. Here, he and Bill take a close look at the coat of arms on a restored cannon at Fort St. Catherine as Angus looks on.

Thanks, Fr. David, for bringing the Cantors to St. Peter's and Bermuda! Your efforts are greatly appreciated!

The wall above one of the more ancient guns, guarding the waters of Bermuda to the north and east. Out of the picture, below on the rocks, you can see how old cannons were sometimes decomissioned... left for the sea to re-claim. With any luck, younger "canons" can expect a better fate!
