Thunder Bay: A Superior Visit!
Detail of new memorial window, Christ breaking bread

"Be Known to Us, O Lord..."

January of 2000, and the Cantors visit St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Thunder Bay, Ontario. This detail of Christ breaking the bread of the Eucharist, from a beautiful contemporary window at the church, compliments the work the Cantors do to fight world hunger. Our thanks to the people of St. Andrew's for all their hard work and great hospitality, and to Gerald Graham of CBC North for his help in promoting this concert.

St. Andrew's Church

The sound in this room is amazing! The barrel-vaulted ceiling helped reflect the music and every syllable to all 600 people at the concert. Angus, yet again, took great joy in playing a magnificent pipe organ. And if you think the building's beautiful, you ought to meet the people!

Terry Fox Memorial

A Memorial to a Canadian Hero

A trip to Thunder Bay is incomplete without a chance to see the Terry Fox Memorial, and to remember his remarkable courage.

Next time, it'll be a clear day and we'll bring back a picture of the Sleeping Giant as well!

Kakabeka Falls!

Even when the flow is limited by Ontario Hydro, and the falls are a little frozen, it's still a spectacular sight from the platform above Kakabeka Falls off Highway 17. Our thanks to Jim Mucklow for the guided tour, which included Persians (T-Bay's answer to donut heaven) and a visit to The Hoito for pancakes.
